On Tuesday, February 7th, 2023, the Board of Directors of the Vancouver Island University Students’ Union (VIUSU) convened during a regular board meeting to address a significant issue: the Israel-Palestine conflict. We approved a statement recognizing its complexity and the profound emotions it stirs among us. This effort is part of our broader commitment to engaging thoughtfully with issues that resonate globally and affect our community deeply.
A Recap of the BC Federation of Students’ AGM: Key Decisions and New Leadership
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the VIU Students' Union, held from January 18-21, was a pivotal event for the Student Movement, marked by crucial decisions and the election of new leaders. This years AGM was attended by several of the VIUSU Board and staff members.
